Hutchinson Manufacturing (HMI) is a custom plate fabricator serving the nuclear industry with a documented ISO 9001 certified Quality Control program coupled with compliance to NQA-1.
HMI specializes in sizable nuclear metal fabrication requiring certified welding and further processing such as close tolerance machining and sophisticated coatings. We are compliant to 10cfr50 metal fabrication requirements.
HMI, a family owned company, has close to six decades of metal fabrication experience in our 100,000 sq ft facilities featuring:
- 20 ton overhead lift capacity
- CNC burning to 12 inch HRS
- Machining to 20 ft lengths
- Blasting and painting components to 70ft
- Extensive welding core competence and in house weld process certification capability.
HMI is a partner with Westinghouse in NuCrane Manufacturing, a company specializing in Polar and Cask cranes for the nuclear industry. NuCrane began manufacturing in 2010 and utilizes Hutchinson Manufacturing for safety related metal fabrication as well as painting capability to nuclear specifications.
