HMI helps set helicopter in park

HelicopterHMI has a reputation for handling big metal assemblies!  So it was only fitting they were sought out for a special task the community needed done.

Recently, HIM contributed its resources to transport and mount a helicopter at a local Veterans Memorial Park. The combined efforts of many helped to accomplish the task on schedule.

HMI expanding services to include NDT Field Services

Hutchinson Manufacturing Inc. (HMI) is proud to announce the addition of Non Destructive Testing (NDT) to its list of service capabilities. NDT processes have been used internally at HMI for 20 years. This in combination with HMI’s recognized quality infrastructure will enable us to offer these capabilities to customers needing this service either at their facilities or in ours.

  • Dye Penetrant (PT)
  • Ultrasonic (UT)
  • Visual (VT)

Meet David DeMenge, ASNT Level III

Since 1989 David DeMenge has been working with NDT. His extensive background has given him a wide range of industry experiences. In addition to having been an NDT technician in the Aviation, Aerospace, Petro-Chemical, Food Processing and Construction Industries, David has also been an NDT instructor at Ridgewater College, the nation’s leading NDT educational institution.

DeMenge joined HMI in 2013 providing the company with advanced NDT skill. His ASNT Level III certification enables him to write in-house testing and inspection procedures as well as administer the NDT certification training/examinations.

ISO 9001:2009 recertification with zero findings

HMI Quality Management System is registered to ISO 9001:2008 by ISO registrar Perry Johnson. The scope of HMI registration includes the development, manufacturing, sales, service, and support for metal fabrication.

HMI was first registered to ISO 9001 on March 11, 2010 and has received regular surveillance audits to maintain certification since then. In January of 2013, HMI achieved re-certification to ISO 9001:2008 with zero findings. This achievement again demonstrates HMI’s continued commitment to quality.
